Incubator

Life science discovery translation requires highly specialized facilities, equipment, instrumentation, and laboratories. The ILSE Life Science Incubator occupies 16,000 sq ft in the state-of-the-art New Jersey Center for Science, Technology and Mathematics on the Kean University campus in Union, New Jersey. We provide fully built-out laboratory suites or shared lab space for new start-ups. Tenants have access to a broad array of core analytical and research instrumentation Core Facilities located within the facility including chemistry, molecular and cellular biology equipment, high-end analytical instrumentation, cell sorting and microscopy equipment, and super-computer facilities.

Due to high demand, the incubator has been at full capacity since launch. ILSE is currently expanding to include an additional 20,000 sf, capable of hosting 20-30 companies and up to 100 scientists, through a grant from the US Small Business Administration funded in part by a $2.5M appropriation of Congressional Directed Spending as part of the FY2023 Omnibus legislation. We will be communicating more about this exciting initiative soon.
